h3r-static-windows-x86_64-0.2-alpha
This program contains fast-changing pictures, text, colors, etc.; there could be flashing, flickering, etc. Be careful!
This is an alpha pre-release: means its CTD rate is at its maximum.
Also, expect unexplained freezes due to a new threading model; just stop the
program from the task manager and start it again.
Install: unpack where the original game is installed.
Whats new:
- the "Quit" button should "work" as expected :)
- a preview of the incomplete "new game" dialog:
- you should be able to see your scenarios, even if they're at sub-directories
at Maps - you should be able to look at scenario descriptions while all of your
scenarios are being enumerated (the scroll-bar middle button could move in
real-time) - you should be able to scroll up/down using the arrow buttons of the
scroll-bar and the key/up down keys on the keyboard - your scenarios shall be sorted by map version and by map name (the original
game default sorting); only default sorting works for now; the maps are being
sorted in real-time: opening the scenarios tab while its contents are being
enumerated could make things briefly jump around with FPS speed
The 10 real-time time displays at the middle of nowhere are just a pre-cache of
the game fonts and a regression sentinels of the render engine.
They should all render and look correctly (blending, alpha masking, and color)
showing your local time. They should render "under" a dialog window, etc.
h3r-static-windows-x86_64-0.1-alpha
An early preview relase that could fail to run and does almost nothing.
Put h3r-static.exe at your game directory and start it. It shall open a console window as well, where you can read various things it detects.
There is a high probability that it will fail to run (I have some issue with the log service and the memory manager). Try running it a few more times, and wait for a beta release.
The main menu items do nothing; "Quit" isn't working yet :)
You should be able to see the main screen, hear the main music, hover over the main menu items, and hear a clicking sound when you click on them.
