Server

The Network Canvas Server provides a mechanism to download protocols, import interview data from the Network Canvas app. In the future, it will also provide basic reporting capabilities, and a means to export consolidated interview data.

Pairing

In order to securely transmit data between Network Canvas and Server, the two must be manually paired. This pairing should happen on the same local network.

Given an installation of Server and of Network Canvas, the two may be paired by taking the following steps.

1. Open Server, and ensure that the main window is visible
2. Open Network Canvas
3. (Network Canvas) Tap the pairing button () on the start screen
4. (Network Canvas) Select the Server to pair with
5. (Server) Confirm the pairing request by clicking "Pair with Device". Server will display a pairing code.
6. (Network Canvas) Enter the pairing code into the displayed input, and click "Pair"

Once paired, Network Canvas may download protocols and export data to this Server.

Data Export

At the end of every interview session, you will have the opportunity to export the session's data to your paired Server. The protocol must exist on the Server for export to work. If you change or re-pair Servers, you'll still be able to export data as long as the same protocol is installed on the new Server.
