Can I use the same binaries on 10.3 and 10.4?

Apple decided to use GCC 4.0 for Mac OS 10.4, which means that C++ libraries are not compatible. Unfortunately, you therefore cannot use the Coin binaries for Mac OS 10.2/10.3 on Mac OS 10.4. There is a separate Coin binary SDK for Tiger which you can download from our website.

Note that with the release of Mac OS 10.4 "Tiger", official support for Mac OS 10.2 "Jaguar" has been discontinued. Coin will most likely continue to work with Mac OS 10.2 (and please let us know if you encounter any problems), but 10.2 is no longer an internal development platform and there will be no further binary releases for Mac OS 10.2.
