This PR makes the spec for large numbers, which calls out to a child process, wrap that ruby call in a "bundle exec".
This made the test suite run on my machine.
Does that make sense to you? Do you run the tests using Bundler?
Perhaps there needs to grow some new Gemfiles for the older Rubies, to keep support for them?
