Hi,

for me here 0.4.2 does not reconnect after a mysql server has gone away and returned.

However, I found out that after installing the cryptography module, it started working

Hi @svenXY, re-connecting is working fine for me on 0.4.2 (and beyond), and cryptography should be unrelated.

Please raise a new issue with details of the issue you're experiencing, your setup, and any errors you're getting.

Thanks!

Hi @braedon, well, I had testetd 0.4.2 and it did not reconnect (tested with a local mysql docker container that I simply stopped and restarted), then I think I upgraded some modules which pulled cryptography (sounds unrelated, agreed ;-)) but then it started working. We run in production against a cloudsql DB in GCP and it sometimes fails over, so reconnects are crucial

@svenXY I've tried testing with a local mysql docker container, and can't reproduce the issue.

Can you please try again with the latest 0.5.0 release, and capture any logs if it's still failing for you. Thanks.
