No second error popup after first one

I had previously had an error dialogue, which I dismissed, then another error showed up, the icon at the bottom went red, but I didn't get another popup nor did I get an inline error.

Just to clarify, popups won't (shouldn't) show for compiler errors that emit diagnostic errors.
