Feature requests

This is a backlog of features that are deemed useful, and in some cases have been often requested, but the main developers haven't had the bandwidth to make them a priority yet. Any of these can be picked by any volunteer for development ; if you want to tackle an item from this list (or really any feature you'd like to implement), feel free to open an issue to let us know and discuss it if needed.

• Avatar frames as cosmetic awards

Technical improvements

• Replace BookshelfJS with TypeORM
• Switch from npm to yarn
• Power the client code with Alpine.js for a lightweight Vue/React-like experience
• Upgrade from Bootstrap 4 to 5 (in Beta as of Jan 2021 but already prominent in the Boostrap front page)
• Drop the jQuery dependency once Alpine & Boostrap 5 are in
