Material Reference

Certain components provide a dropdown with a selection of preset materials, that depend on which car they're used on. Here's the materials they reference.

Note

Custom Car Configs do not support this feature, you must instead select From Path and provide the path to the object with the material. This can also be used to reference any other material not available here.

Important

Selecting a material that is not supported by the current car will render the mesh in bright pink.

  1. DE2-480 has the control deck material available and its exploded version.
  2. DE6-860 has the engine material available and its exploded version.
  3. S060-440 has the coal (Extra 1) and water (Extra 2) materials available.
  4. S282-730B (Tender) has the coal (Extra 1) and water (Extra 2) materials available.
  5. DM1U-150 (Utility Rail Vehicle) has the flatbed material available. The interior material is for the dashboard, as the rest uses a combination of multiple materials.
