Result Codes

There are six possible result codes. These result codes tell you if the update succeeded or failed or something else.
Windows Update Viewer displays these codes in two places, the Result column in the grid section and again as Result Code in the details pane.
| Result | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not Started | The operation is not started. |
| In Progress * | The operation is in progress. |
| Succeeded | The operation was completed successfully. |
| Succeeded with Errors | The operation is complete, but one or more errors occurred during the operation. The results might be incomplete. |
| Failed | The operation failed to complete. |
| Aborted | The operation is canceled. |
