The Misinformation Game v2.3.1

Version 2.3.1 fixes a bug introduced in v2.3.0 where the Next Post Delay affected posts in feed-mode.

Bug Fixes

The recently released version of the Misinformation Game, v2.3.0, introduced a bug into the feed-mode where it would add a delay to stop users reacting to posts after a post had been submitted. This should have only affected single-post mode. This release fixes this.

The Misinformation Game v2.3.0

Version 2.3.0 fixes a bug with the delaying of users in single-post mode.

Bug Fixes

Previously, you could stop users from reacting to each post for a configurable amount of time after the post was shown. This functionality was mistakenly removed in v2.2.0. This update adds this functionality back to The Misinformation Game. This delay is called Next Post Delay, and is found under the Advanced Settings in the General tab of the configuration spreadsheet.

See: Config Docs (General > Advanced Settings > Next Post Delay)

The Misinformation Game v2.2.2

Version 2.2.2 fixes a bug with the results recorded in feed mode.

Bug Fixes

  • Change to Results: Fix credibility/follower changes being associated with the wrong posts in the results when using feed mode.

Credibility and follower changes were sometimes getting attributed to the wrong posts in the results when using the feed mode. Specifically, skipped posts were not having their zero credibility/follower changes recorded, so interactions with later posts gave their credibility/follower changes to the earlier skipped posts. This new version fixes this issue!

We missed making a tag for v2.0.0, but we remembered for v2.1.0! This version signifies updates to the dependencies and installation process of the Misinformation Game, in the hopes that it will alleviate some issues that users have had. Some dependencies that were causing issues have been removed, and we've added more options to the deploy.sh script to help with user's Google Cloud SDK installation.
