Installation 📦

Installing FocusGuardian is simple and straightforward. Choose one of the following methods:

Chrome Web Store 🌐

The easiest way to install FocusGuardian is from the Chrome Web Store. Click "Add to Chrome" to install the extension.

GitHub Releases 📂

1. Navigate to the GitHub releases page of FocusGuardian.
2. Download the latest release ZIP file.
3. Unzip the downloaded file.
4. Open your Chrome browser and go to chrome://extensions/.
5. Enable Developer Mode by clicking the toggle at the top right.
6. Click on Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.
7. You should now see the FocusGuardian icon in your Chrome toolbar.

Usage 🖱️

1. Initial Setup:

   • Click on the FocusGuardian icon in your Chrome toolbar.
   • Choose your preferred language by clicking the "Change language" button.

2. Adding Sites to Blocklist:

   • Click the "Block current site" button to add the current website to your blocklist.

3. Configuring Time-Based Blocks:

   • Set specific days of the week and time ranges for blocking certain sites. For example, you could block social media sites from 9 AM to 5 PM on weekdays.

4. Quotes for Motivation:

   • FocusGuardian shows inspirational quotes to remind you of your goals whenever you attempt to visit a blocked site. The quotes are also available in multiple languages.

5. Unblocking Sites:

   • If you need to access a blocked site, click the "Unblock site" button. You'll be prompted with a motivational message to reconsider if this action aligns with your focus goals.

6. Adjusting Language:

   • You can switch the extension's language at any time by clicking the "Change language" button.

• storage: To save user preferences, like their custom blocklist, for a consistent experience across browser sessions.
