+#### Threat Caused by Frustration and Deprivation

+A person targets towards a goal (or _object_) for two causes:

+1. its intrinsic meaning
+2. its symbolic value (psychological values)

+We've all experienced deprivation and frustration. The distinction between the two is that deprivation on non-basic
+needs does not lead to frustration. Only the deprivation of an object's symbolic value from a person could lead to
+frustration. This has an important application in the dominance-subordinate relationship (e.g. working environment). The
+dominance feels safe by keeping objects with symbolic dominance value on their side. Taking such away from them triggers
