Abstract

Phonon is a system to pass around sole ownership of a keypair in a way that receiver is assured that the private key has not been used/revealed before. We accomplish this with the help of trusted secure elements enforcing protocol rules, possession of which (and authority over, in the form of cardholder verification, PIN or biometrics or ..) defines the "sole ownership".
