Development of the standard

The deliverables are on the master branch of a repository titled standard-GEM.
This repository contains all the files, with blanks to be filled, and a checklist as .standard-GEM.md with the steps that need to be done manually. These files are be automatically copied over to a new repository created with GitHub’s Use this template button.
The implementation of changes to the standard is done on the develop branch, with releases marking updates of the standard. Discussions around the standard are done openly via GitHub Issues.
This standard-GEM is intended to be revised every ~2 years.
