TimeCo: Time Commando Engine Reimplementation
Welcome to the TimeCo project. This project aims to reimplement the PC version of Time Commando, a game developed by Adeline Software International in 1996.
With the original source code of both LBA1 and LBA2 now available, we aim to finish to use the shared libraries between Adeline games and create a new engine for Time Commando. The intention is to have a clean codebase for learning purposes and to make it available for everyone and eventually merge few common parts with TwinEngine.

The main goal of this project is to create a modern and portable engine for the game Time Commando and have a clean codebase for learning purposes. We believe that the original architecture of the game is a good base for learning game development and we want to make it available for everyone.
The project is in its initial stages. We are currently working on the engine architecture and the game data structures. The game is not yet playable.

Place the contents of the game folder into the bin folder and run the executable.
There is a dependency on SDL3 library and it will be reference as a git submodule that will be compiled with the project.

Fork the projct to your own repository, make your changes and submit a pull request. If you are not familiar with git you can try editing the files directly on GitHub or drop us a message on Discord.

If you don't have Jekyll installed, you can install it by running the following command:
gem update --system
gem install jekyll bundler
Assuming [Jekyll] and [Bundler] are installed on your computer:

Change your working directory to the root directory of your site.

Run
bundle install
. -
Run
bundle exec jekyll serve --watch
to build your site and preview it atlocalhost:4000
.The built site is stored in the directory
_site
.
Once changes are commited to the repository, the site will be automatically built and deployed to GitHub Pages under the URL: https://lbalab.github.io/lba-engine-architecture/
