The Ophioid Mod is a mod that adds a unique standalone boss with a nonstandard AI that is designed to streamline soul farming after beating the mech-trio and being more challenging and entertaining then the regular wormbosses that just ramming into you.

His fight has 2 phases right after beating the mech-trio and later gains an additional 2 phases after beating the golem. This boss is designed to mainly reduce the grind you have to do for souls and pretty much fule himself (aka you will gain enough souls to resummon him over and over after every kill).

To summon the first phase of the boss, you need to craft a dead fungusbug (corruption)/living carrion (crimson) depending on your world's evil, this is made from 1 of each soul (except souls of flight), 5 rotten Chunks/Vertebrae, 5 Shadow Scales/Tissue Samples, and 5 Cursed Flames/Ichor. You will not be able to fight the boss with the summoning item not craftable in your world (IE you cannot use a dead fungusbug in a crimson world)

The boss has quite a few attacks that vary from your usual worm bosses, especially the suspiciously low Hitpoints. And gains extra abilities and drops more materials in expert mode. When defeated, you will get the 5 different types of souls used to craft the summoning item, a chance at the trophy/and or mask, and the summoning item for the other evil type; you'll want to hang onto that one.

After Golem is defeated, you can use beetle husks, a deadfungus bug, and a living carrion to make infested compost which will allow you to fight the 3-phase rematch.

the first phase is a buffed version of the worm, with noticeably higher stats, after it digs into the ground below half health, the 2nd phase starts.

A cocoon will rise and attempt to fly off the world, while you are giving chase after it, it flies in the reverse direction of the side of the world your on when it spawns. Kill enough of the carrier flies to make it drop to the ground, and hatch into the final phase.

The Fly moves fast, and will charge the player while cycling through different attacks including lasers, when it reaches health milestones it summons fly minions to help it. When defeated, it will drop a large amount of souls of all kinds (including souls of flight), pillar fragments, and a pet item (100% of the time) This rematch is intended to, just like the former, reduce grinding, we all hate the pillar event right? Well now that's one less thing you have to do.

Have fun, and prepare for a fight!
