This release should be only used for upgrades from previous versions.

ESOPE 1.11 is a transitional release that should be used ONLY to upgrade ESOPE 1.8 to ESOPE 1.12
For new projects, please choose latest ESOPE LTS release.

ESOPE / Elgg upgrading process involves applying each version at a time until the desired version is reached.
To upgrade from ESOPE 1.8 to ESOPE 1.12 :

  • proceed to usual Elgg upgrade actions (backup database, disable caching, disable plugins that will not be used in target version, etc.)
  • switch from master or esope_1.8 to esope_1.9, then apply any required upgrades
  • switch from esope_1.9 to esope_1.10, and apply upgrades
  • switch from esope_1.10 to esope_1.11, and apply upgrades
  • switch from esope_1.11 to esope_1.12, and apply upgrades
  • finally enable desired / updated plugins (and especially "esope", "ckeditor", "fontawesome"...)
