E3SM github Labels

What our labels mean. Labels can be applied to Issues or Pull Requests in Github.

Atmosphere - involves code in the cam directory
BFB - PR does not change answers. Output will be bit-for-bit with head of master/next for all tested cases after merging.
bug fix PR - PR is fixing a bug. Include link to the bug in Issues.
bug - Use only for Issues, not PRs. A bug in the E3SM code.
CC - PR will result in a noticeable change in the simulated climate
CIME - involves CIME compset - PR adds/modifies a compset
confirmed - for Issues only. Bug or problem has been confirmed.
Coupler - involves code in the coupler, driver or MCT
Critical - for Issues only. Bug or issue needs immediate attention
Documentation - documentation only.
duplicate - for Issues only. Issue is a repeat of a previously entered issue.
enhancement - for Issues only. This is a request for a new feature.

FCC - PR contains code that will change climate if a flag is set. Can be combined with BFB or non-BFB.
help wanted - for Issues only. A request for help.
invalid - for Issues only. Bug report is not valid.
Land Ice - involves code in the land ice model
Land - involves code in the land model
Machine Files - machine files in the build system.
minor - For Issues only. Indicate a Bug is minor.
NML - PR includes changes to a model's namelist.
non-BFB - PR will make round-off changes to model output.
Ocean - invovles the ocean model.
question - for Issues only. Asking a question.
Scripts - about non-CIME scripts
Sea Ice - involves the sea ice model
Utils - involves utility software such as timers, PIO, etc.
wontfix - For Issues only. Bug is not really a bug and won't be fixed.
