Plots that are created when using the provided description here:
Fano-Factor:
- Var(N_t)/E(N_t), N_t= number of spikes in time interval t
- The Fano factor provides a method to describe the variability in spiking activity and to relate it to the variability associated with a Poisson process.
- If FF->1 for t->0, then we are dealing with a poisson process, i.e the spikes are random
Poincare:
- Relates inter-spike intervals (ISIs) to one another
- Always plots (ISI_n, ISI_n+1)
- This means that if points lie close to the line x=y, the next ISI is similar to the previous one
Spikelets:
- shows spike regularity in comparison to spike length
It is also possible to create these plots with the code:
Metric Comparison:
- different parameters are compared over multiple files
- 480/(Number of Spikes -1); Fano Factor; Frequency Maximum, ISI Difference, ISI Maximum, ISI Mean, ISI Median, ISI Minimum, ISI Skewtest, ISI Standard, ISI Variance, Number of Spikes, RMSSD
