Higher Education Data

DataViva now includes data on Higher Education enrollment for all of Brazil. This includes the number of students entering, enrolled, and graduating from each major in every higher education institution in Brazil.

School Census Data

In addition to Higher Education, the site now also features data for basic and vocational school enrollment.

Updated Datasets

Both employment and trade datasets have been updated with the most recently available time resolutions.

Product Import Data

The trade dataset now includes import values, in addition to the previously available export values. The new Trade Balance visualization helps illustrate the interplay between these 2 values:

Monthly Trade Data

Not only does the site now have import data, but both export and import data is now available at monthly resolution.

New Visualizations

In addition to the prior visualization types being applied to the new datasets, 3 brand new visualization types have been added to aid in the understanding of the data. These include Line Charts, Bar Charts, and Box Plots.

Updated Homepage w/ Search

The homepage design has been updated to help provide quicker access to the data pertinent to a user's search. This includes new carousels that highlight specific slices of data, and much more succinct search behavior.

Redesigned Profiles

We've taken the best features from the previous version's Profiles and Guide sections and combined them into a new, much more robust, profile for every attribute.

The main navigation now features 2 dropdown menus which each give faster access to the Profiles and Visualizations offered by the site.

Additional Statistics

Each profile page features a much longer list of basic statistics.

Speed and Stability

Close attention was paid to the time it takes to load visualizations, and the site is much more stable and reliable.
