This occasionally updated page is for summarizing the development outlook for the mod. It does not include everything and there is no particular order but it helps to explain what to expect.

Features List - Last updated April 6th, 2024

Group 1 Features

These features have high priority because they are central to the Factorio or mod experience.

  • Revised and improved warnings menu
  • Integrated list of controls
  • Settings and preferences menus

Group 2 Features

These features seem to be feasible with the API and we plan to include them eventually. The details of how they will work are relatively clear.

  • Better logistic robot menus
  • Better electric network menus
  • Automatic walking as an alternative to teleporting, perhaps using the Kruise Kontrol Mod by Klonan.
  • Achievements support, including vanilla achievements and possible extra achievements unique to the mod
  • Further combat additions, such as pollution tracking and turret help features
  • Improved launcher features, such as automatic updating
  • Including the mod in the official Factorio Mod Portal
  • Support for some other mods that would go along well with Factorio Access
  • Better localization support for the most used mod features.
  • Combinator support
  • Improved multiplayer support (if we get more feedback)

Group 3 Features

These features require more designing and/or technical solutions before they can be added and so they are lower in priority.

  • Support for major overhaul mods such as Space Exploration or Krastorio.
  • Extensive localization support and actual extensive localization via help from volunteer translators.
