Summary
Balance "Remove CLAWS from Judo, Aikido, Eskrima and Biojutsu"
Purpose of change
I can find no evidence that Judo, Aikido or Eskrima make use of claw weapons. It mostly seems like the last dregs of the "unarmed weapons" concept we have yet to shake off.
In the case of Bionic Combatives, I guess the logic is that if you know how to use bionic claws it's not a far leap to using bah nakh, but that sets a weird precedent. If someone introduces a bionic whip, should Bionic Combatives get access to all whips? I think it makes more sense to say that it only works with nionic weapons, period. It is after all programmed and implanted rather than developed and learned, so it makes sense that it has oddly strict limitations.
Describe the solution
Remove the "CLAWS" weapon category from the relevant martial arts.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I wouldn't be opposed to giving Judo and Aikido the bionic claws back if they were changed to work like mutated claws, i.e. integrated hand armor. That would be consistent with other claws and across all unarmed martial arts, not just a weird exception for these two specifically. Seems like a bit of a logistical challenge, though.
In the case of Bionic Combatives, taking the approach that similar weapons are allowed could work. If I had gone down that path, I would've created a PUNCH DAGGER weapon group including the punch dagger, razorbar katar etc. and added it to biojutsu. But again, I don't like setting the precedent that biojutsu gets to expand its repertoire into more and more mundane weapons whenever someone adds a new bionic melee weapon.
Testing
Loaded in game to make sure there were no major errors, checked that the MAs had lost the CLAWS category.
Additional context
This leaves Ninjutsu as the only martial art that uses CLAWS, because there's real-world precedent there.
