Description

This PR's purpose is to prep the repo for CRAN 1.0 submission.

Proposed Changes

List changes below in bullet format:

  • Update NEWS.md
  • Update README.md
    • Update lifecycle badge
  • Minor updates to WORDLIST and .rd files that came up via running our refresh scripts
    • Confirmed everything ran and passed otherwise

TODOs Prior to Submission:

  • Run rhub checks
  • Run winbuilder checks
  • Update cran-comments.md
  • Cross fingers and toes for good luck
