The raw data comes directly from the bikeshare services. (For details and links, see BuzzFeedNews/bikeshare-data-sources).

scripts/process-data.py handles most of the data processing. Processed data, in CSV and GeoJSON formats, can be found here.

notebooks/aggregate-data.ipynb contains the code for calculating overall male/female ridership rates and generating the female-ridership-by-day-of-week charts.
