8.0.0

Major Changes

  • d99a7c8: Major version bump for all packages
    • ⚠️ This is a breaking change! The SocksProxyAgent constructor argument has been split into two arguments.

Upgrading from 5.x to 6.x

In version 5.x, the SocksProxyAgent constructor took a single argument of either (A) a string, or (B) an object with specific connection properties.

Now the constructor takes two separate arguments:

If you were using an object argument in 7.x, you'll need to change the first argument to match the structure of the URL class, and move any other options to the second argument.

7.x usage:

const agent = new SocksProxyAgent({
	hostname: 'myproxy.mydomain.com',
	userId: 'proxyUser',
	password: 'proxyPass'
  timeout: 1000
});

Updated 8.x usage:

const agent = new SocksProxyAgent(
</tr></table>

This pull request has been marked stale because it has been open for 60 days with no activity. If there is no activity within 7 days, it will be closed.

This is an automation to keep pull requests manageable and actionable and is not a comment on the quality of this pull request nor on the work done so far. Closed PRs are still valuable to the project and their branches are preserved.

OK, I won't notify you again about this release, but will get in touch when a new version is available. If you'd rather skip all updates until the next major or minor version, let me know by commenting @dependabot ignore this major version or @dependabot ignore this minor version. You can also ignore all major, minor, or patch releases for a dependency by adding an ignore condition with the desired update_types to your config file.

If you change your mind, just re-open this PR and I'll resolve any conflicts on it.
