Medium Rare is a browser extension built using Vite and Vanilla JavaScript that allows you to read Medium articles for free. It removes the paywall and restrictions on Medium content, so you can access and enjoy articles without a Medium subscription.
You can install the Medium Rare browser extension in your preferred browser. Currently, it is supported in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
- Download the extension from the Chrome Web Store (Coming soon).
- Click "Add to Chrome" to install the extension.
- Download the extension from the Firefox Add-ons (Coming soon).
- Click "Add to Firefox" to install the extension.
- Download the extension from the Microsoft Edge Add-ons (Coming soon).
- Click "Get" to install the extension.
Once the extension is installed, using it is simple:
- Navigate to a Medium article that you'd like to read.
- Click on the Medium Rare extension icon in your browser's toolbar.
- The article will be unlocked, and you can now read it without any restrictions.
- Unlock Medium articles without a subscription.
- Seamless and hassle-free reading experience.

We are continuously working to improve the Medium Rare extension. Here are some planned features and improvements:
- Display Toast When Unlocking is Done: This will notify you when the article is successfully unlocked.
