Shadow takes up its own space #9

Preferred behavior: the shadow would exist overtop of the scrolling content, potentially fading out/to another color as the user gets closer to the end of the content

Actual behavior: the shadow takes up its own space in the content

Good finding @ryanscottaudio ! But I'm not 100% sure if I understand what the expected behavior would be like. Could you maybe create an example or submit a PR for me to see what you are after?

I think the example in https://codepen.io/tinystride/pen/bcEJv shows what I'm after (even thought that example has its own problems, namely that any scrolling content exists overtop of the shadow and thus can obscure it).
