This is quite odd. There is a version on https://open-vsx.org/extension/Zowe/vscode-extension-for-zowe until the rest of the team can look at this.

thanks - good to know, but without the private marketplace support in VSCode yet, users will still need to download and install from VSIX - I have already pointed them to the release package

and let them know how to install from local VSIX

Microsoft is already taking steps towards a temporary solution. They are slowly bringing the PlatformIO IDE extension back without metadata. We are hoping they can do the same with Zowe Explorer soon.

Zowe Explorer v3.0.3 is back on the VS Code Marketplace and v2.18.0 should be back shortly
