Planning and organizing events

Gen3 should have UI to plan/create and organize/run events in a campaign, using the API features already existing since Gen2 (before we proceed to perhaps create entirely new capabilities).

High-level requirements

Planning

• Rapid creation of events (benchmark: spreadsheets)
  • Repeating/duplicating events
  • Multi-shift events
  • Multi-location events
  • Moving events in time
  • Creating locations
  • Creating activities
• Distribution analysis

Organizing/running the events

• Participant life cycle
  • Accepting/confirming sign-ups
  • Cancelling
  • Sending reminders
  • Moving participants
• Generating sheets/reports
  • Printing schedules
  • Contact sheets

Examples of out-of-scope new features (for context)

These would require changes to the underlying capabilities of the Zetkin Platform API. They're here for context of what's actually in scope for this discovery.

• Printing present sheets for scan-back?
• Max participants (disabling sign-up when reached)
• Participant no-show (being able to see who didn't show up)
• Sign-up information/survey
• Related events / sub-events (e.g. study group)
