Timeout error when resolving Android zeroconf service

There is a Timeout Error given by avahi on Ubuntu Maverick when trying to resolve a created zeroconf service on my Android device. I've posted a question relating to this issue on stackoverflow, but haven't gotten any responses yet. Not such what is going on, but I fear it might have to do with buggy multicast DNS implementations on Android...something that we can't fix. Nevertheless, discovery of zeroconf services on Android works pretty well.
