Any value incorrectly allowed for Sector Codes using vocab=10 (clusters) #304

Hi Aidsteam team would you be able to provide any timeline for when it might be possible to get this issue fixed? We are currently working with the humanitarian community and this is one of the elements that we want to encourage them to provide to improve the usability of their data so it would be really great if we could get this sorted ASAP? Many thanks as ever and I'm happy to provide any additional clarifications etc if required |
Hi Aidstream team is there any update or timelines on this one yet? Many thanks |
Hi Aidstream team just a follow up to see if there is currently any timeline for this required amendment? Many thanks |
Greetings Wendy, Apologies for not getting back to you earlier. We are currently working on other upgrades. We will surely look into it and have a discussion with our team and then only we can let you know about the timeline. Thank you for pointing this out. On behalf of AidStream team, |
Hello Wendy, Sorry for the delayed response. Currently, we are only maintaining the Codelist provided by the IATI and IATI doesn't provide Codelist for the sector codes for vocabulary (10). So we won't be including your requested change currently. If the Codelist is updated in IATI, we will surely incorporate this feature in AidStream. Thanks, |
Thanks for the update Bikalpa and this raises an interesting issue which I will therefore follow up with the IATI Technical team. |
@Beecallpaw @manibibek - if we added the humanitarian clusters codelist to the set of codelists that we maintain here: https://codelists.codeforiati.org/ and accessible via an API here: https://codelists.codeforiati.org/api/ would you be able to use that to make the humanitarian clusters available in Aidstream? |
@matmaxgeds - Yes, we would be able to use humanitarian clusters if codelists are maintained in IATI. We couldn't verify the draft version of codelist since the link is not working. |
@Beecallpaw, that sounds great, sorry for the broken link, new one here for testing while we get the repo setup: https://github.com/matmaxgeds/IATI-Codelists-Extra/blob/master/xml/HumanitarianGlobalClusters.xml |
@matmaxgeds The link works fine now. We will integrate this in AidStream once codelists are maintained in IATI. |
@Beecallpaw - great, it is now available on the codeforiati api here: https://codelists.codeforiati.org/api/ or visually here: https://codelists.codeforiati.org/HumanitarianGlobalClusters/ if there is interest in other codelists then please let me know |
Thanks for your input @matmaxgeds and @Beecallpaw is there any progress on this one? Many thanks |
When adding cluster values to an activity via the element and using vocabulary 10 it appears that the user can provide any value they like for the sector code rather than the predefined and required values as per the cluster vocabulary list (currently only values 1 to 11 & 5403 to 5406).
Therefore, please could Aidstream be amended to only allow users to specify the predefined cluster values? TIA
