It seems as though activities that have been registered then deleted by a given user are showing up as 'published to the registry' in Aidstream's dashboard notification field:

Compare this with the registry for Mercy Corps Europe:

N.B. Mercy Corps Europe recently changed their name from Mercy Corps Scotland, which might be relevant.

Could you please advise on whether this is bug or just a configuration error. For now it appears to be a non-functional bug i.e. the actual files accessible on the registry via the dashboard and D-portal.

Thanks,
Rory

Update

Hello again - so I've now purged deleted files from the registry, but this behaviour has gotten stranger. We're now in a situation where is hosting and publishing files to the registry that don't appear anywhere on MCS_admin's dashboard, and which I can't find anywhere through the Aistream interface.

Under List Activities we see:

image

Under List Published Files we see:

However, in the Registry we see the linked account as having the following files published:

This is especially strange as the bottom files have irregular data in them, as well as being associated with the old name of this publisher.

Could anyone advise?

Many thanks,
Rory

There seems to be some problem when we get API response from Registry, and hence the published number in the dashboard is not correct. We will fix them manually for now - 14 to 7.

The problem in the registry seems to appear due to change in organisation-short-name from MCE to MCS. AidStream doesn't handle the change of such name and reflecting that change in Registry - meaning it doesn't delete those files which should have been deleted from Registry when new files are generated and published. This is a rare situation which we haven't come across so far. We need to manually do the fixes in the Registry.

Hi Anjesh - thanks for getting back to me on this. So to solve this should:

  1. I go into the registry and manually delete all of the files that have been deleted on Aidstream.

or

  1. You or someone with access to the data in Aidstream manually deletes the old files on aidstream and de-registers them with the registry, as would usually happen when deleting a file through AidStream.

or neither, or both?

Many thanks,
Rory

Hi Rory, i missed your comment earlier.
You manually delete the files from registry that should not be there. We will fix the number to 7 in AidStream dashboard for MCE.

But before it would be wise to discuss this with Registry/Ckan developer. That is some strange thing i have never seen.
