Describe the bug
Changing resolution or window mode in the video options menu will cause CTD

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to options menu -> video
  2. Change the value for either resolution or window mode to a value that is not currently selected
  3. Click apply
  4. See Issue - Game will CTD

Expected behavior
Player will be able to change these settings without crashing

BugTrap error report
OpenXRay_error_report_240517-173605.zip
This file ^^ is for resolution change

OpenXRay_error_report_240517-174029.zip
This file ^^ is for window mode change

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Windows 11 (AtlasOS)
  • OpenXRay Alpha 1 yohji/dev testing branch (binaries provided to me directly at 4:20pm today)

Additional context
Refresh Rate value in resolution selection will persist after crash, but on next game launch it appears to default to native resolution. Window Mode value selected before crash will appear to persist as far as the selection showing in the menu, but the actual window mode will not, for example, the selection will show the "Windowed" is selected but the game will clearly be in either fullscreen or borderless

Hotfix 13 appears to have fixed this issue, waiting for verification, then can be safely closed as complete! 😄
