Default caret position and caret status issue #2

Shu,

After I changed the doc and doc name in GUI, the default caret position is on document name, which is supposed to be on the document. Also, the caret status seems to be wrong as well. Can you take I look at it? Sorry for what I have messed up, thanks.

sure, I will look into that over the weekend.

but do you think that we really need such information (i.e., caret
position)? it has nothing to do with the editing functions, and we now have
it only because it is inherited from the the sample code.

what's your preference?
