Just to make sure I understand.
This proxy setup was meant to cache RPM files?
I still do not get the way it should work.

If I will use a mirrorlist from CentOS it would not be good enough.
Is it only for a specific server or servers?

Hi,

This proxy setup was meant to cache RPM files?

right

Is it only for a specific server or servers?

nope

it was menat to be mirror agnostic... that's why only the filename is used to identify a package instead of the whole URL.

@yevmel This file names should be unique but not always.
I will try to read the code to understand better.
