I will also add support for rotation in the future if I get enough time.

I describe the rotation in Instagram with 3 attributes:

The rotation works at any degrees.
When the rotation is changing the default zoom, zooms in or out if required to avoid empty areas appear in the corners.
The rotation center is the center of the currently visible area of the image.
