Hero Point Handler not working with mythic

So I know "Mythic Points" aren't hero points but even if you try and give Hero points to a Mythic character it says it gave them a hero point when nothing was given in terms of they have no ability to receive hero points and it didn't give them a Mythic.
Yes, I know they're different points but Mythic replaces Hero Points so why shouldn't Hero Point Handler be able to give Mythic too, or at the very least say it didn't give any hero points to said characters?
