Easy Effects does not show any applications

Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 22.04 and I've installed Easy Effects via Flatpak.

sudo flatpak install flathub com.github.wwmm.easyeffects
flatpak permission-reset com.github.wwmm.easyeffects
flatpak run com.github.wwmm.easyeffects             

Output of the console is then

You have PipeWire 0.3.48 installed
This is newer or the same as PipeWire 0.3.41 required to run Easy Effects

But the application does not show any applications or sinks.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Is pipewire-pulse installed? Although EasyEffects does not really need the compatibility layer for Pulseaudio applications distributions package PipeWire in a way that some things EasyEffects need are usually inside this package.

Yes, Ubuntu 22.04 is reporting it is installed. But maybe it is a problem when Easy Effects is started via FlatPak?

$ sudo apt install pipewire-pulse

pipewire-pulse is already the newest version (0.3.48-1ubuntu2).

Flatpak should not be a problem. Try to follow step number 3 in our wiki basic logs section https://github.com/wwmm/easyeffects/wiki/Reporting-Bugs. This way we will see some logs.

pipe_manager.cpp:1311 found metadata: settings

There should be a default metadata too. It is the most import one. It is usually missing when pipewire-pulse is not installed. I wonder why this is happening if you have it in your system... Whatever it is the reason something is definitely not right in your PipeWire installation.

Thanks, that was it. It was installed, but not properly configured.
