Implement AMP

I am using this theme as news site. Its Awesome but the problem Google News Need AMP to show content in Mobile devices.

I think Github Pages does not support any amp plugins (as expected). However, this would be a more than welcomed feature.
Be it self-hosted or on gh-pages, you can have a separate branch for people wanting more from this theme. For ex, my blog is not hosted on gh-pages thereby giving me full freedom in terms of the plugins I want to utilize.
