Related to PathVisio/GPML#14 (comment), we might update GPML to express "Anchor Groups". For the UI, it would be nice to allow for creating these in two ways:

  1. Drag one anchor over another
  2. Select multiple anchors (shift-click or click-drag) and then using context menu of any selected anchor to choose "Group" or "UnGroup" Enter a "Group Anchors" mode, and select two or more anchors two group

The same UI could also be used for other elements like DataNodes.

IIRC, method #2 was supposed to be like the current mechanism for grouping nodes, right? Something like...
