Proposal Flow: Naive Proposal >> Request for Proposal >> Proposal Evaluation

A) Naive Proposal

  • User-Story: "I want Feature X to be on WAX"
  • Developer-Story: "This is possible to develop"

B) Request for Proposal

  • Description of the Feature
  • Go-To-Market Strategy explained (only relevant for Products)
  • Product-Maintenance explained

C) Proposal Evaluation

1. Market Research

  • Who is the target audience?
  • Are there comparable on-chain metrics?
  • ....

2. Proposal Objectives

  • Wha does the proposal actually do?
  • e.g. bringing new users, bringing new creators, increasing performance, etc

3. Only Open-Source projects

  • Yields educative content
  • No progress lost, if a project is abandoned
  • Easy to review progress of proposal
  • "Product-Maintenance" doesn't hard-fail

4. Incentive for the WAX ecosystem?

  • What value does it hold for customers?
  • How can this value be measured? e.g. Token-Burn, DAUs, TVL

5. Considerable size of proposal

  • Is the project straight-forward built
  • different projects tiers: A: <k5, B: <15k, C:<50k

Decision Flow (on WAX Labs)

  1. initially resolve: Community Votes until threshold
  2. 2/5 Votes => Guilds vote (1 guild, 1 vote - majority or 2/3)
  3. 1/5 Votes => OIG vote (1 IG, 1 vote - majority or 2/3)
  4. 2/5 Votes => WAX team votes (yes/no)
