Do multiple clicks on a modal-opening link create multiple modals?

I'm on Vue 2.7, and presently using vue-js-modal, but haven't found a way of preventing the same modal opening twice with multiple clicks (documented here). I'm thinking of switching to your module in the hope that won't exhibit that behaviour. Can you tell me whether it does?
