Enable Game Pad Mode by default in Steam Deck

I have followed all the instructions on downloading 358/2 days and Melon Executable
I can get it to open up the game and everything but no matter what i click, it doesn't react to any of the buttons i press

Is it the windows .exe you are using or the linux appimage?

Did you configure the controls, at Input Settings? Currently, this is necessary

whenever i try to it doesn’t respond to the controller keybinds, like if i press a button it doesn’t react , i switched to keyboard inputs and it reacts only to some buttons not all and still doesn’t respond when the game is open

Are you in desktop mode or in game mode?
In desktop mode, be sure that you are in "game pas mode" with the controller (I'm not sure, but ils either Press "start", "select" or both at the same time for a few seconds until you see the notification on the bottom right corner)
In both mode, also be sure that you're not in the "keyboard mapping", but in the "joystick mapping".

It may be something else, but these two already happened yo me, so knows.

Just to clarify: I didn't close this issue so we can, at some point, enable Game Pad Mode by default in SteamDeck, so that problem doesn't happen in the future again
