Hello,
I have an esp8266 module with WiFi enabled. I would like to connect the module to my Alexa App or the Philips HUE app on my phone. Alexa only states that no device is discovered, and does not even try to connect to the device.
Philips HUE on the other hand has the option to discover a device by IP address. If I specify the esp8266 address in the app, then the app tries to visit the
[FAUXMO] URL: /api/config
which does not exist on the device, then it downloads the
http://192.168.217.73:80/description.xml
a few times. The local ip being the esp8266 module. Finally the response is No Hue Bridge found.
Is this a new api call that is not implemented in the device, are there other issues?
Thanks for any help.
