Goal

To use JFR events to find possible bottlenecks and areas where and improvement could be achievable.

Some examples:

  • Quantify the amount of events being triggered and see if it's possible to summarize (merge) those events like the PPT colleagues in the UI area already did for some of their use cases.

Criteria for ready

Do this before moving this issue to the status Ready.

  • Clarify current status of performance analysis tools in Eclipse / PREEvision
  • Define clear goals for this issue (or split into several smaller issues)
  • Define scope for a PoC with the purpose of evaluating feasibility and ROI. The PoC itself could be a subtask / sub-issue of this issue.
