There are two use cases that would be nice to enable:

  1. browse rendered website on the jupyterhub when developing a new branch. Still not sure how that is best done.

  2. Simply browse the existing website (instead of multiple browser tabs, you can have a tab within the jupyterlab interface. I just learned this was possible from Example for how to open URL in jupyterlab tab (NOT browser tab) jupyterlab/jupyterlab#6235 (comment). You can have a button in markdown open a new tab!
