<descript>
Daily temperature accumulation subtracted from the 30-year average daily temperature accumulation, providing a temperature accumulation anomaly, as expressed in Fahrenheit and based on a 32F base temperature. Available for each day of the current year, plus six days into the future, at a 2.5km resolution. Negative values represent locations that have not reached the average heat accumulation this year for that day and positive values represent locations that have exceeded the average heat accumulation this year for that day. Input temperature data based on NOAA National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) Real-Time Mesoscale Analysis Products, NCEP Unrestricted Mesoscale Analysis Products; short-term temperature forecast products based on NOAA National Weather Service National Digital Forecast Database. Each night, the data are re-generated for the previous two days, the current day, and the next six days. This allows more stable data and better forecasts to be incorporated into each day's representation of the model. Because the short-term forecasts are adjusted daily, pixels values may vary from one day to the next.
<purpose>These data were created to be used as input into various phenological analyses. However, they could be used for any general purpose requiring Accumulated Growing Degree Days (AGDD) as an input.</purpose>
