I started XRTest and found the two plane went away in adverse direction and vanished into nothing.

Hi there, the behavior described here could occur when no VR headset is connected or was not correctly connected. Could you check if SteamVR is running as instructed?

Also notice that we had to use Editor 2019.4 specifically for the legacy Unity XR plugin. This is the only editor version we found that could get OpenGL + Desktop VR working properly together.
