I have the same issue. I think when the connection to the e3dc is interrupted the sensor reports 0 instead of unavailable.

Hi , this integration is great and works well, instead of the reported bug.
I have the same peaks and really don't know why.
System is an E3DC S10X
HA runs on an Intel NUC with enough power.
