I often just want to drag an image from an email and drop it in a comment in JIRA. I have installed the plugin to see if it would help, but unfortunately it did not. If that could be supported it would be grea! Currently I either make a screen snip and paste it or save the image to disk then drag that to JIRA.
Thank you

Dragging and dropping an image as a file does work if the image is an attachment, but not for inline images. While it is theoretically possible to detect an image is being dragged and convert it to a file drag, there are a few problems with this.
First, no filename is provided for the image, so the program would have to determine what filename to use.
Second, the image is provided in the CF_METAFILE format. The program would have to decide what format to save the image as. Common formats would include BMP, PNG, GIF, and JPG. Even if a setting dialog was provided so the user could select a format, any one format may not work well for all images.
Ultimately, for these reasons I think this idea is problematic and is outside the scope of this add-in.
I currently copy it, open with greenshot, copy again, and paste to Jira.
Even better would be ability to drag'n'drop (or copy/paste) a selection including inline images to Jira.
Thanks for the plugin, it is already very useful for the attachments!
